• Most Useful Chrome Extensions Everybody Should Know

For anyone who does not know what a Chrome extension is, they are like tools that can be added to the Chrome browser. You can think of extensions like apps for your smartphone, so just like apps add cool features and functions to you phone Chrome extensions helps the browser perform a lot more tricks that would otherwise be not possible. You have free access to all these extensions from the Chrome Web Store but for some extensions may need purchase to get full functionality.

Below are the list of tools that I have used and honestly feel that they make my life a lot easier as they automate and lot of things that will require a lot manual step by step operation.

    1. AdBlock - Block Ads

Block ads and pop-ups on any of your favorite websites using this extension installed on Chrome. Honestly this is the first extension I install right after I install Chrome because it is that good and ads now a days are that annoying. It just takes a few ad pop ups to make your favorite website the most annoying website. The best part of the blocker is that you don't need to do any customization to make it work, it is preset to block almost all adds and you need to open the extension only if you want the increase the blocking on a website or turn off the blocker

    2. Volume Master - Increase browser volume

Have you come across a Youtube video or any audio on any website that is just not loud enough for you even after keeping the volume bar at 100% then this extension can help with just that. The extension helps boost the volume upto 600%. Just keep this extension installed and when you do come across a low volume webpage, just click on the extension icon and you will get the volume change bar that you can use the increase the volume to your liking.

    3. Malwarebytes Browser Guard - For safe browsing

If you want to add an additional layer of browser protection over your standard antivirus protection then this is my personal favorite tool. I trust them because I honestly feel Malwarebytes specialize in cleaning malware, spyware infected systems and their windows application has saved my system a lot of times so a Chrome extension from them goes without saying does a really good job blocking unwanted linked or pop up tabs that open on clicking links. If you completely trust your anti-virus then this is not required because you will get two warnings every time you open a spam website. So best to test it out and see if it blocks pages that your anti-virus software does not detect.

    4.  MultiLogin - Login to multiple accounts on same browser

If you have multiple accounts on the same website, the only option to login to both at the same time would be to use different browsers or login to one account on Chrome and second account on Chrome in Incognito mode (Yes, there is something like that in Chrome). But why go through all the trouble with multiple windows when you can use this app to login to multiple accounts on different tabs on the same browser. Let me quickly tell you how to use this so that you don't need to read a lot, you install the extension which gives you the icon on the right top corner of the Chrome browser, don't click on it yet. Lets say we login to Instagram on a tab, now if you want to login to your second Instagram account then just click on the MultiLogin icon, this will open a new tab and you open Instagram and open your second account. You can differentiate the tabs by the numbering on the tabs. You can open as many tabs as you want and each of these tabs can be used to login to multiple accounts. I just used Instagram as an example, you can use this for any platform except for Banking websites may be (haven't tested that yet)

    5. Momentum - Personalize your welcome screen

What was the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" and that's exactly why I kept this image here. Imagine seeing a welcome screen like this when you open your Chrome. Really feels much more personal doesn't it and that's exactly why this extension is my next best pick. With the momentum extension installed you can replace your new tab page with a personal dashboard that shows to-do, weather and inspiration quotes. The To-do list is my personal favorite because when you are constantly browsing on several tabs you don't stray away from the daily goals and end of the day can make sure that all the pending its are cleared out. There are lot more items you can add to this page as well like adding bookmarks, links etc. Overall each tab will show everything you already have by default and a lot more as per your preference in a much more beautiful way.

These are just very few of the Chrome extensions I use on a daily basis, but there are a lot more in the store which can suite your requirement. There are lots of tools to help developers, artists, readers and anyone and everyone who wants to make your Chrome work for you than use it just as a browser. Let me know if you would like to suggest extensions you love to add to this list.
